Just like many filmmakers before myself, I began my creative journey by making short skits and videos with my friends….
Over time, I came to realize I had a genuine passion for cinema and filmmaking as a whole. Eventually, this led me to major in Creative Media and Film at Northern Arizona University (with an emphasis in Independent Filmmaking). It was here I made my way into UTV studios; A student run class, club, and film production company.
UTV gave me the opportunity to get hands on experience with production equipment, learn set etiquette and vernacular, replicate professional film sets, and participate in small productions of our own.
Outside of this, I was able to meet many creative and passionate people like myself. UTV introduced me to a large community of young filmmakers; many of which I remain very close with to this day.

Although film is my most prominent passion, I do have a personality outside of it; contrary to popular belief…
I am a huge fan of music and have been invested in a plethora of genres for many years. This interest tends to lead me to many live music events; big and small alike. Thankfully for me, Flagstaff is a great town to catch a small punk show with a rowdy crowd and creative individuals.
Aside from this, you can usually find me enjoying any active nightlife in my area. I am a huge fan of public art, local markets, museums, unique bars, and discovering new restaurants. In my opinion, a good writer needs to experience as much life as possible; and that is what I set out to do every day.
When I am not on the hunt for a new experience, I find myself relaxing at a neighborhood coffee shop with a latte and a book. And, of course, this circles me right back to writing. It is usually here I get most of my work done as being in public allows me to absorb my surroundings and relate them to my life experiences. In turn, advancing my thoughts and stories.

My goals as a filmmaker are quite ambitious…
Eventually, I would love to direct my own work. Having the opportunity to completely flesh out my vision from paper to screen sounds like pure euphoria to me and is what I see myself doing in the distant future.
That being said, I am not naive. The film industry is not easy; it takes hard work, dedication, and patience. We must crawl before we can run, and we must run before we can fly. This is my mentality as I take my first steps into the industry; happy and ecstatic to be a part of something so much bigger than myself. No matter how big or small the role is.
Nevertheless, I will always be dedicated to writing and will never stop improving my skills in the department. Partially because it is part of my end goal, but mostly because it truly is my passion. So, despite what may be paying the bills, I will always continue practicing and enjoying this aspect of filmmaking.
I am beyond excited to get to work, and will be passionate about my job wherever I land. I am forever dedicated to the art of filmmaking and will never cease chasing this dream of mine.
